Review of Team iDemise Guide

These guides are written by Team iDemise, a multi-gaming team who excel at Counter-Strike Source, among other games. They have made a very bold claim with this guide, specifically having the fastest 1-80 leveling time in the world. However, they haven’t shown any screenshots or proof of this record breaking leveling time.

Nevertheless, the guide itself is now completely in-game. There is no longer any text version. While it is good that they put everything in-game if you want to look anything up on wowhead then you will have to search manually. Here is a screenshot of how it looks in game.

You can customize a lot of the window settings. The whole thing is very intuitive and easy to understand. You just choose your level range and get started. Once a step is done, check it off and go to the next. The iDemise guide will remember where you left off when you log back in again. The instructions are sufficient in most places so that you don’t have to study your quest log too much. This guide also has an arrow pointing in the direction in which your next objective is, although this is also pointing only in the general directions, so you will have to navigate around obstacles yourself.

I think the instructions are clear, but there seem to be too many grinds for my liking. In several places there are just a handful of quest turn-ins and some quests to do between 2 levels, and in my experience that’s not going to be enough. The rest you will have to grind. With all of the leveling improvements Blizzard have made from level 20-70 there should be very little grinding in a leveling guide.

I still think this can be a good guide if you are using rested experience to avoid the grinds.

4/5 may be a little hard for this iDemise guide, but it’s only because the competition is fierce when it comes to leveling guides.
